We are thrilled to welcome back Lou Sarabadzic, one of the keynote speakers at our 2023 Conference, for more events at WiF UK-Ireland!
Lou is a writer based in England. She has published seven books in French, ranging from poetry collections to fictions and comics. Since getting her PhD in French Studies, she also regularly collaborates with academics on various projects. Her website is available to view here. We are delighted to be working with her once again on WiF-related activities!
Lou will lead two workshops in spring 2024. The first, on Academic Writing and Publishing in French, will be held on Wednesday 6th March from 10.30-11.30am GMT. This online session is open to all scholars in French and Francophone Studies, as a ‘taster’ of what the WiF UK-Ireland community has to offer. We warmly invite PGRs and ECRs in particular to attend this event. Any attendees who are not yet members of the Association are invited to become members in order to access the second workshop with Lou, our PGR/ECR writing mornings, the WiF Culture Club, and many more benefits besides. More information about joining WiF UK-Ireland can be found here. This session has a cap of 25 attendees, so please do express your interest in attending as soon as possible using the registration form below.
Lou’s second session will be open to all registered members of WiF UK-Ireland, and will have a capacity of 12 attendees. This workshop, on Multilingual Creative Writing, will take place online on Wednesday 10th April, from 10.30-12.30am. Come along for a creative writing break: discover playful approaches to everyday materials – and see your academic work in a whole new way…
If you would like to join us for either (or both!) of these wonderful sessions with Lou, please use the registration form below to sign up. You will receive Zoom joining links in due course from Ally and Emma.
