2025 Conference – Transformation

The WiF UK-Ireland 2025 Conference, on the theme of ‘Transformation’, was held at Hinsley Hall, Leeds, from 30th May – 1st June. It was organised by Dr Jasmine Cooper (Cambridge) and Dr Adina Stroia (Leeds), and our keynote speaker was Fatima Ouassak.

As for previous conferences, an online archive of the conference programme, call for papers and digital conference pack has been made permanent on our website, and is available to view below. You can find the 2023 conference archive here.

In addition to the conference material, we are delighted to share some photos from the conference, and the interview with Rajae Benchemsi, author of ‘Marrakech. Lumière d’exil’, which is the current text selected for One Book, One WiF. The interview was conducted by Siobhán McIlvanney and Adrienne Angelo and was played at our One Book, One WiF discussion on Friday 30th May.

WiF UK-Ireland would like to thank the Society for French Studies, ASMCF, the University of Leeds, Liverpool University Press, and Peter Lang for their generous support of this conference.
