Women in French UK-Ireland hold biennial conferences on varied themes related to women’s cultural production and position in the French and Francophone world.
Our next conference, on the theme of ‘Transformation’, will be held at Hinsley Hall, Leeds, from Friday 30th May to Sunday 1st June. More information can be found on our dedicated 2025 Conference page, which contains links to the provisional programme and registration pages.
In 2023, we held our first conference as an official Association at Hinsley Hall, on the theme of ‘Femmes et/en crises’. You can look back at this conference archive here, which includes a retrospective on the conference, the digital conference pack, and more.
Our 2021 conference, on the theme of ‘Femmes dérangées, femmes dérangeantes’, was held online at Maynooth University, amidst challenging pandemic conditions. An archive of material relating to this conference is available here.
Our 2019 conference, on the theme of ‘Femmes et pouvoir’, was held at Hinsley Hall, Leeds and marked the fifteenth WiF UK conference. The conference programme is available to view here.
